Woodburn to Evans Head Shared Pathway:
From the River to the Sea

Progress Update:

The Woodburn to Evans Head Shared Pathway is steadily taking shape, creating a new connection between the two communities and a great way to experience this beautiful part of the Northern Rivers on foot or by bike.

When complete, the pathway will stretch approximately 5.8 kilometres from Woodburn towards Evans Head, winding through the peaceful rural landscape between the river and the coast. Along the way, users will pass farmland and rural homesteads, with the new pathway providing a safe and accessible route for walkers, runners and cyclists to enjoy.

Construction Progress

CivilCS has now completed a substantial portion of the concrete pathway, and our crews are continuing to work their way along the route.

Current works are focused on some of the more complex sections of the project, including bridge and culvert works in areas where existing waterways and drainage need to be carefully managed.

These structures form an important part of the project, allowing the pathway to cross natural drainage lines while maintaining water flow and protecting the surrounding landscape.

As each new section is completed, the vision for the pathway becomes a little easier to see – a continuous recreational connection through the countryside from the river towards the sea.

Thank You, Woodburn!

Working through rural areas inevitably means construction activity, machinery movements and some temporary disruption.

CivilCS would like to thank local residents, adjoining landholders and the wider community for their continued patience and support while these works are underway.

We look forward to sharing more progress as we move closer to completion and to seeing the community out walking, running and riding the finished pathway.

Community Communication

We are committed to maintaining open communication with local residents and the wider community throughout the project.
Our site depot will be located off Alfred Street in Woodburn, and both Brett and our project team will be available onsite for any discussions or concerns during construction.
